EUROPADISC: "...a splendidly absorbing album. It’s a handsome anniversary tribute to an important, underrated and sadly short-lived musical figure from the turn of the last century, well recorded and beautifully presented. Do try it!  READ MORE>>

THE ARTS FUSE: "This album demonstrates both that Coleridge-Taylor’s music is well worth resurrecting. What we now need are mainstream orchestras, ensembles, and leading artists to follow down the trail that Stewart, Repper, and the National Philharmonic have so ably blazed: the composer, the canon, and the audience deserve nothing less."

Performance Materials

In celebration of Samuel Coleridge-Taylor's 150th Birthday Anniversary, the creative team has created modern performance editions (scores and parts) of
Toussaint L'Ouverture, Ballade Op. 4, and the Suite from "24 Negro Melodies." each of which is offered for free to any ensemble wishing to study or perform this music.
All materials were generated from the composer's original manuscripts dating from between 1895 and 1905, found at the British Library and the Library of Congress.
