Nice career moves for two young conductors trained at Peabody by Marin Alsop and the late Gustav Meier. Stephen Mulligan has been named assistant conductor of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and music director of the Atlanta Symphony Youth Orchestra, starting with the 2017-2018 season. And Michael Repper has been appointed music director of the New York Youth Symphony, likewise beginning in 2017-2018. Read full article at the Baltimore Sun.

Mr. Repper is joining an illustrius roster of NYYS Music Directors, including Leonard Slatkin, David Alan Miller, Miguel Harth-Bedoya, Mischa Santora, Paul Haas, among others.

Now in its 54th season, the organization has grown significantly and offers groundbreaking and rigorous programs in composition, conducting, chamber music, jazz, and commissioning – and in the last two years, international touring opportunities.
