Michael conducts NYYS Composition Workshop

NYYS Composition students have their pieces read and rehearsed by NYYS student-instrumentalists and professional musicians from the Dacoda Ensemble in a Side-by-Side setting.

NYYS composition students had the unique opportunity to solicit feedback from the musicians, program director Kyle Blaha, and composer-mentor Aaron Jay Kernis. The pieces were recorded for the composers' portfolios and represented a wide variety of musical writing, including one spectral piece!
